Cruise Season

Planning a vacation with multiple destinations can feel overwhelming- there are so many moving parts in planning a multi-destination trip. Luckily, cruises can provide the diversity of experience without the headache of having to plan multiple trips and accommodations. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or new to traveling, a cruise can provide both fun and convenience.

Why Choose a Cruise?

One of the biggest perks of cruising is the ability to visit multiple destinations without the hassle of packing and unpacking at every stop. With a cruise, you can wake up to the turquoise waters of the Caribbean one day and explore the streets of Mexico the next. There are also a variety of cruise lines available which can fit anyone’s needs. If you have kids, there are cruise lines geared toward children’s activities and themes. If you have a particular destination you would like to visit, there are cruise lines that specialize in travel to those destinations, like Alaska for example or the Mediterranean. Some cruise ships even have themed cruises like Disney or music-themed cruises featuring live performances. A cruise can also provide a stress-free, multi-destination adventure, making it perfect for families, couples, or solo travelers.

Cruises are also great because they are often a more cost-effective means of travel. Your lodging, meals, and entertainment are bundled into one price, making it easier to budget. Many cruise lines also offer additional packages like shore excursion bundles and drink packages to enhance travelers’ cruise experience.

When Should You Book?

Pretty much any time is a good time to book a cruise, but the beginning of the year is an ideal time to book. Known as Wave Season, the period of January 1- March, is when virtually the entire cruise industry offers promotions to travelers. These promotions could be discounts, perks like onboard credits, waived kid’s fares, reduced deposits, cabin upgrades, included/discounted flights, or complimentary dining. Wave Season is a great time to book a cruise but travelers don’t necessarily need to travel during that three month period. In fact, travelers can book and travel months or a year later.
